BANBURY: A driving test centre will not shut, bosses announced yesterday.
The future of the West Bar Street facility was uncertain after the centre’s lease ran out on March 31.
But a Driving Standards Agency spokesman confirmed yesterday the lease has been renewed.
He said: “We have agreed a five-year lease to remain on the premises. I can confirm we will be staying.”
Rumours that it would shut down were raised in December after the Driving Standards Agency refused to discuss future plans.
