A PERFORMING arts academy established by actress Pauline Quirke, who appeared in the hit TV series Birds of a Feather, has opened a branch in the city.
The Pauline Quirke Academy Oxford will be launched on May 11 at Wheatley Park School, in Holton, and meet on Saturdays from then on.
It will teach dance, drama, music and other performing arts disciplines.
Principal Dina Lees said: “I’m an actress, and I’ve had a family so I don’t tour any more, but I really wanted to do something like this to teach others. I’m really looking forward to it.”
The launch day will be open to all from 9.45am and families will be able to decide whether or not to sign up on the day.
