WORK to create a new floodlit tennis facility in the West Oxfordshire village of Lyneham could start in the summer.
The planning application from Wychwood Tennis Club proved controversial with some residents, who claimed it would cause light pollution.
In February, the club won planning permission, on appeal, to create four floodlit courts and a pavilion at the Wychwood Golf Club.
The scheme will cost about £350,000.
Wychwood Tennis Club chairman Roger Hollingdale said: “The funding is being renegotiated because we have moved into a new financial year.
"We could not agree the funding before because of the lateness of the planning application. We hope work will start in the middle of the summer.”
The application was originally refused by West Oxfordshire District Council but the Planning Inspectorate overturned the decision.
