A 15,000-strong army of wheelie bins is lined up ready for action as Oxford gets set for its 'recycling revolution'.
As dawn broke over Cowley Marsh on Monday, regiments of 240-litre green bins were loaded on to trucks to begin their invasion of the city.
Their objective was to overthrow black bin bags, reduce household waste and improve paltry recycling rates.
