AN OVERTURNED boat near Oxford's Osney Lock could remain partially submerged for weeks.
The Environment Agency said in order to remove the boat, which capsized during heavy rainfall last month, part of the weir would need to be closed.
Spokesman Hayley Willoughby said: “The river is on red boards where we advise all crafts not to navigate and the removal of the boat will mean shutting part of the weir which flows won’t allow. We will have to wait until flows slow to be able to do this safely.”
