Sir, Professor Richard Dawkins intends to promote his latest book The God Delusion at an event to be held in the Oxford Union debating chamber on Tuesday, November 14.
As a Christian - a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ - I write to object to this publication and its promotion in this way. The author seems to feel that his mission in life is to attack faith, deny the existence of God and promote the fallacious theory of evolution.
The scripture says: "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God". (Psalm 53:1 AV). It is folly to promote these false notions and this publication is repugnant to Christians. The perpetrators will bear the responsibility for their actions and particularly for their attempt to influence the coming generation. Should not this book be re-named "The Dawkins Delusion"?
