NO ONE is going to be sadder than I am when (and not if) Temple Cowley Pools closes but it’s time that the Save Temple Cowley Pools lobby group stepped out of their bubble and accepted reality.
Which part of “Temple Cowley pools is going to close” do they not understand?
One wonders if this group truly represents users of TCP (people like me) or whether, as I have long suspected, there is a political agenda being followed here.
As a regular user of the rowing machine and the steam room (but not necessarily in that order), I and many others I talk to in TCP have long since accepted that the centre’s days are numbered and no longer wish to be represented by the TCP Anti-Closure Group.
I and many others would prefer that energies were challenged into upgrading existing sports centres where usual activities can be replicated.
