IF YOU recognise the face behind door 10 of our crime calendar police would love to hear from you, as this man is suspected of grabbing a woman round the throat.
Andre Berley is the 10th suspect to be revealed in our Badvent calendar this year.
The Christmas crime campaign, run by the Oxford Mail and Thames Valley Police, aims to see the suspects apprehended by the end of the year with the help of our readers.
Berley, 24, is wanted by police in connection with an assault that happened in Blackbird Leys in October.
It is alleged Berley, of Sandy Lane, Oxford, was in an argument with a woman before he grabbed her around the throat.
The woman suffered bruising to her neck and arms during the incident.
Police have described Berley as black, about 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with short, cropped hair and a thin goatee-style beard.
Pc Victoria Middlecote, who is investigating the October 28 incident, said it was important they spoke to Berley.
She appealed for anyone who may have seen him or had information about his whereabouts to come forward.
She said: “Violent crimes will not be tolerated and it would make my Christmas a happy one to know that we have traced Berley and put him before the courts for the crime he is alleged to have committed.”
She added: “Berley has links to the Blackbird Leys and Cowley areas of Oxford and may be using either a white Ford Connect van, a black Range Rover or a black VW Mk 5 Golf to get around the city.
“If you have seen him, please come forward and speak to us.”
Anyone with information on Berley’s whereabouts should call Thames Valley Police on 101. If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org
