Cowley Community Centre had too much Brain power for Three Tuns B as they ran out 5-4 winners in a thrilling Oxfordshire Super League encounter.
Evergreen Percy Brain got the ball rolling for Cowley with a 3-0 win, but Simon Powell couldn't follow up, going down 3-0 to Mark Stocker, and Cowley fell 2-1 behind when Lyndon Richards lost 3-1 to John Russell.
The Brain family made it two wins on the night as Percy's grandson, Matty, levelled the scoreline with a 3-2 win, only for Cowley to fall behind again as Steve Willoughby lost 3-1 to Lee Russell.
Terry Wood had a 26.45 average in his 3-1 win to level the match at 3-3 and then Ray Pape put Cowley in front for the second time on the night with a 3-0 success.
Back came the Tuns with Paul Cohen seeing off Aaron Stevens 3-0, only for Cowley's Mick Juste to pinch the deciding set 3-1.
Three Tun's A ended Steventon's 100 per cent record as they triumphed 7-2, while Hundred Acres recorded a shock 5-4 win over White Lion.
Goodlake followed up last week's success with another win away to Mason's Arms (North Leigh), 5-4, while Chinnor FC were 7-2 victors at Brackley Band Club.
