CULTURAL organisations and individuals can apply for a cash boost from Oxford City Council with the launch of a new scheme.
Up to 20 grants will be awarded to those who can boost Oxford’s “cultural offering”, as part of a Culture Fund Pilot.
The pilot will award grants from £500 to £1,000 for activities which will take place before September 30, 2013, in the city.
Applicants will need funding to match the amount applied for, which must be secured by March 5, 2013.
City council leader Bob Price said: “We are pleased to introduce this pilot fund to support cultural organisations of all sizes as well as individual artists in the city.
“The Culture Fund will enable applicants to leverage in additional funding and enhance the vibrant cultural offering we already have in the city.”
There are a limited number of grants and only one application will be considered per person or group.

The application deadline is 5pm on Wednesday, December 5.
