WHILE many men have stopped shaving this month, Simon Kenton has picked up a razor for the first time in a while.
The 40-year-old, who manages a network of community groups in Oxford, had his beard shaved off to raise money for prostate cancer research.
He said: “I have had a beard for 20 years on and off so it’s different, shall we say.
“It was very cold on Friday and I gave myself a right shock when I looked in the mirror on Saturday morning.”
Now he is clean-shaven Mr Kenton, who lives on a narrowboat in Oxford, will be growing a comedy moustache for the rest of the month to raise money for Macmillan.
It is part of a global fundraising campaign dubbed Movember.
