MOVIE stars in the making were given red carpet treatment as they attended the premiere of their first films.
Students at the Abingdon Youngstar film school wrote, directed and starred in the two scary films over the summer.
Chloe Coker-Taney, 10, from Eynsham, said: “We started in August and in the summer holidays we got split into groups.
“It has shown me how fun it is because I hadn’t really done it before.
“I like the glamour because you get your picture taken and it makes you feel really confident about yourself.”
On Saturday Chloe travelled to London to audition for the lead role in the next big film from the producers of Harry Potter and King’s Speech – a modern adaptation of Paddington Bear.
Chloe’s film, Sanctuary, is a mysterious ghost story.
Her co-star Sophie Collins, 11, from Chipping Norton said: “Sanctuary is a film about three groups interacting.
“I play a girl who is being bullied by a girl from another group.
“We look in a church and find these kids from the Second World War and we are really freaked out.”
The young starlet said she had always wanted to be a famous actress, and now she was one step closer to making her dream come true.
“I think I am quite natural with the camera, and when people are filming me I don’t get nervous,” she said.
“I want everyone to know I am good at what I do.”
The premiere took place on Friday at the Phoenix Picturehouse in Oxford.
