ACTOR John Challis, pictured, who played Boycie in classic comedy Only Fools and Horses, may have done a double take when he arrived at a Bicester bookshop on Saturday.
Parked outside was a replica of the yellow three-wheeled car used by Del Boy and Rodney Trotter in the hit show.
Staff at Coles Bookstore borrowed the car from fellow town trader furniture store Lisseters of Bicester to promote Mr Challis’ book-signing event at its Crown Walk store. Twelve-year-old Only Fools and Horses fan Jay Spinks, inset, shook hands with Mr Challis.
The star chatted to fans about his career in television at the Crown Walk store.
Cooper School pupil Jay Spinks, 12, of Blake Road, Bicester, said it was great to meet the actor, adding: “It was a great experience.
“He is one of my favourite characters.”
