A 67-year-old cyclist died yesterday after a collision in Didcot.
The man, who lived in the town, was riding a silver racing bicycle when he was involved in a collision with a black Renault Megane on Saturday. The incident happened on the roundabout at the junction of Foxhall Road and Broadway, at about 11.35am.
He was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with a serious head injury and in a critical condition. Thames Valley Police confirmed he died in hospital yesterday.
The driver of the Renault Megane, a 24-year-old woman, was uninjured.
The road was closed for about three hours to allow for an investigation to take place.
Investigating officer Pc Matt Clarke, of the Joint Roads Policing Unit based in Abingdon, is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the car or bicycle prior to the collision, to come forward.
Anyone with information can call him on the police enquiry line 101.
