A PENSIONER is fighting for his life after a serious crash in Didcot this morning.

At about 11.35am, a black Renault Megane was in collision with a silver racing bicycle on a roundabout at the junction of Foxhall Road and Broadway.

The cyclist, a 67-year-old man, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital after suffering a serious head injury. His condition is described as critical.

The driver of the Renault Megane, a 24-year-old woman, was uninjured.

The road was closed for about three hours to allow for an investigation to take place.

Investigating officer PC Matt Clarke, of the Joint Roads Policing Unit based in Abingdon, is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the car or bicycle prior to the collision, to come forward.
