TRAIN services between Oxford, Didcot and London Paddington are expected to operate to modified timetables until late this afternoon due to emergency engineering work in West London.
Two of the four tracks on the Great Western main line have been closed at West Drayton since early yesterday afternoon to allow Network Rail engineers to work in safety.
As a result, many stopping services between Reading and London have been cancelled, with semi-fast trains between Oxford and London making extra stops.
Other services including expresses between Oxford, Didcot and London are being delayed by up to 15 minutes while waiting to pass through the area affected by the work.
Passengers are being advised to check before setting out on their journey and to allow extra time to reach their destinations.
The latest estimate for a resumption of normal services is 4pm.
