DISQUIET continues to grow about the future of Oxford Stadium.

The stadium, which faces the prospect of closure with houses built on the site, has suffered a body blow with the decision by the Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhouse Service to move its Friday morning meet to Yorkshire.

The fear is that the stadium is dying a death from 1,000 cuts and will reach the point where its lack of viability means housing is an inevitability.

The Greyhound Association failed to return calls from the Oxford Mail yesterday, but we will not be going away.

Until, that is, the association finally levels with local people about its intentions for this site.
