A CHARITY concert by the London Philharmonic Choir has raised £4,000 for young people in Oxfordshire.
The celebrated choir raised the roof of London’s Middle Temple Hall in a fundraising performance for the youth arts charity OYAP Trust, based at The Courtyard in Bicester.
The choir, under Oxfordshire-based Artistic Director Neville Creed, performed works by Bruckner, Faure, Handel and Vaughan Williams.
Mike Daniels, former president of the Rotary Club Of Bicester and long time supporter of OYAP Trust, said: “It was a fabulous evening supporting the OYAP Trust and their phenomenal work in our local community.”
It is estimated the event raised more than £8,000, to be split between Middle Temple scholarship fund and the trust, which works with young people using creative activities to promote learning and leadership.
