OXFORD
- James Howkins, 28, of Jourdain Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted theft after taking a stack of children’s magazines and crossword magazines from the Londis store in Headington on September 19. Fined £60 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
- David Solomon, 34, of Grove Street, Wantage, admitted shoplifting two sets of drill bits worth £54.96 from B&Q in Abingdon on September 19. Fined £40, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £35 costs. Also fined £60 for committing the crime while on a conditional discharge for shoplifting in June and July.
- Lee Brewster, 33, of Springfield Drive, Abingdon, admitted assault by beating in Abingdon on September 7. Sent to prison for four months and restraining order made.
- Malcolm Plaisted, 25, of no fixed address, admitted stealing two joints of smoked bacon worth £8 from Co-op in Rose Hill, Oxford, on September 1. Admitted threatening a security officer with a syringe on August 31 in Rose Hill, Oxford. Also guilty of possession of cocaine in the Westgate, Oxford, on September 1. Sent to prison for 20 weeks.
- Lee Doyle, 27, of Songers Close, Oxford, convicted of stealing lead from Summertown Cycles in Oxford on August 5. Sent to prison for six weeks.
- Stuart Gallagher, 47, of Pike Terrace, Oxford, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order by being drunk in a public place, entering a pub and using abusive language in Paradise Street, Oxford, on August 13. Community order made with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement.
- Susan Gerrard, 66, of Pegasus Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a handbag worth £59 from Hotter in Queen Street, Oxford, on June 24. Community order made with a supervision requirement. Also told to pay £59 compensation.
- Craig Mills, 31, of Territorial Way, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on August 7. Also admitted criminal damage to a window in Howard Street, Oxford, on August 13, and shoplifting three bottles of whiskey worth £64.35 from Co-op in Templars Square, Cowley, on August 23. Given a 18-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Also given a supervision requirement.
- Tanya Fielding, 52, of Buckler Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting groceries worth £18.02 from Sainsbury’s in Summertown on September 27. Fined £60, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
- Winston Fine, 47, of Territorial Way, Oxford, admitted stealing food worth £43.64 from BP services in Woodstock Road, Oxford, on September 27. Also admitted driving while disqualified in Bicester on the same date. Community order made with a three-month curfew order. Told to pay £43.64 compensation and £85 costs. Six month driving ban.
- Scott Williams, 19, of Reading Road, Cholsey, guilty of criminal damage to the value of £325.29 to a motorcycle in Greenmere, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell on March 27. Community order made with a two-month curfew requirement. Told to pay £325.29 compensation and £250 costs.
- Craig Saxton, 25, of Windrush Tower, Knights Road, Oxford, admitted receiving stolen jewellery worth £740 at Cash Solutions in the Westgate, Oxford, between February 21 and 22. Given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months. Told to pay £300 compensation.
- Jason Kilduff, 33, of Linnet Close, Oxford, convicted of stealing a bike worth £100 at Oxford Train Station on August 20 and another cycle worth £700 from the station on August 14. Also guilty of having bolt croppers to use to steal at the station on August 22. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months. Told to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year. Nine other offences taken into account and told to pay a total of £1,605 compensation.
- Joanna Moodey, 36, of Dodson Court, Abingdon, admitted possessing two wraps of cocaine in Dodson Court, Abingdon, on July 28. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and told to pay £85 costs.
- Philip Jones, 51, of Green Close, Didcot, admitted drink-driving in Didcot on August 27. Had 84mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath (legal limit is 35mcg). Fined £300, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Twenty-month driving ban.
BANBURY
- Igors Lavrinovics, 28, of no fixed address, admitted trying to steal a car in Causeway, Bicester, on October 10. Admitted having a screwdriver for use in connection with the attempted theft. Admitted possession of cannabis in Bicester on October 10. Also shoplifted sweets and alcohol from Co-op in Bicester on March 17. And stole tobacco and alcohol worth £4.47 from the same store on May 8. Fined a total of £350, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Ross Harvey, 21, of Hazel Crescent, Kidlington, admitted assault by beating in Newport Close, Kidlington, on September 2. Community order with 12-month exclusion and supervision order made. Told to pay £40 costs.
- Matthew Darvill, 25, of Murcott Road, Upper Arncott, admitted assault by beating in Hart Place, Bicester, on May 8. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, must pay £85 costs.
- Tammy Baird, 31, of Edmunds Road, Banbury, admitted shoplifting meat worth £40 from Co-op in Mewburn Road, Banbury, on March 3. Also stole goods worth £400 from Boots in Banbury, on March 17. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and told to pay £600 total compensation.
- Benjamin Marshall-Hammond, 21, of Masefield Road, Banbury, admitted drink-driving in Warwick Road, Banbury, on September 27. Had 61mcg in 100ml of breath. Fined £200, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Twelve-month driving ban.
- Stephen Smith, 38, of South Lawn, Witney, admitted criminal damage to a wooden pub sign belonging to The Cross Keys in Witney, on September 23. Also guilty of possession of cocaine on the same date. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and told to pay £85 costs.
- Julie O’Brien, 36, of Newland Place, Banbury, admitted stealing a backpack worth £800 at Banbury station on April 21. Community order made with drug rehabilitation and supervision requirement. Told to pay £700 compensation.
