PRIME Minister David Cameron has backed a review of concerns which led to the suspension of births at a maternity unit.
Births at the Cotswold Maternity Unit in Chipping Norton were stopped on October 18 after “concerns around working practices raised by staff and women using the unit”.
Mr Cameron, who represents Chipping Norton, said: “I have met with members of staff and been in touch with the trust and local mothers. What is important now is that a comprehensive review takes place as swiftly as is possible and that the unit is re-opened fully following any necessary steps which need to take place.”
