AS a resident of Cowley for more than 55 years, I was delighted to read the article (October 24) about the Morris Club.
At last it will be put to good use and hopefully it will become a privilege for children to be taught there. The only ‘blot on the landscape’ would be if Oxford City Council must build flats as the social housing. What a view if one was fortunate enough to live on the top floor!
Whatever they build there, I hope it will be in keeping with what I hope will be a successful school, complete with playing fields. It would be nice to think that a lot of the pupils could walk to school, thus alleviating the concerns from people who are worried about traffic problems.
