A man was found lying on a pathway in Oxford with a broken jaw.
The 41-year-old victim was discovered lying near the river opposite Upper Fisher Row at 2.45am on Sunday.
A member of the public phoned an ambulance and the man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital to undergo treatment.
He is unable to remember how he received the injury. It is believed he had been drinking alone in Kiss Bar in Park End Street.
The victim is Asian, of slim build, about 5ft 8ins with black greying hair and glasses and was wearing a grey jacket and blue jeans.
