Didcot Town wasted a great chance to move into the top seven by surrendering a 3-1 lead to Uxbridge in Saturday's high-scoring Sourthern League Division 1 South & West clash at the Loop Meadow Stadium.
Even though Didcot were without midfielder Andy Parrott due to traffic problems near Maidenhead, they should have collected all three points.
Uxbridge created the early chances with Damian Panter missing the target when well-placed and then the same player sliced a long-range chip inches wide.
Then Uxbridge keeper Mark Philpott saved from Matty Jack.
Jack King shot wide from 25 yards for the home side before Town keeper Chris Webb made a brave stop to deny Dean Peltohaka.
The home side went ahead after 21 minutes when Jack headed home following a brilliant move and pinpoint cross from Stuart Beavon.
The lead lasted just three minutes as Panter scored with a low shot from 12 yards.
Ian Concannon then headed over from point-blank range for Didcot after Beavon's driven cross.
Didcot regained the lead through Paul Powell on the stroke of half-time when he diverted Beavon's shot past Philpott.
Uxbridge were forced to take-off Philpott at the break and with no specialist keeper to replace him, centre-back Billy Matthews went between the posts.
The game looked all over after 71 minutes when Jack fired a stunning volley into the corner of the net from the edge of the box.
But Uxbridge refused to lie down, and they were rewarded with two late goals to earn a point, despite a touch of controversy surrounding both.
First Charlie Hill ran the ball into an empty net, with Didcot waiting in vain for an offside flag, to make it 3-2.
And then with five minutes left, and following a blatant foul on Didcot's Concannon which went unpunished, Ryan Spencer headed home.
Didcot Tn: Webb, Goodall, Bedwell, Campbell (Hannigan 52), Gunn, Jack, Heapy, King, Concannon (Warner 82), Beavon, Powell.
