Sir – I was disconcerted to receive a letter from Oxfordshire County Council last week addressed to ‘Other Anne Ashby’. The letter began ‘Dear Other Ashby’. Alas, in some obscure way I feel that I have been demoted.
Has this happened to others, I wonder?
