VICTORIAN farce is the order of the day in a new production by county actors at Oxford’s North Wall theatre.
The Government Inspector tells the story of corrupt officials fawning over a man they mistakenly believe to be a Government inspector.
Wheatley’s Daniel Irving, 29, who plays Dob Chinsky, said: “I absolutely love it. It is wonderful to do something comedic yet charming and quaint at the same time.”
The play began last night at the theatre in South Parade, Summertown, and runs until Saturday.
