PILLING Edward Retired Headington Solicitor Passed away on 8th February 2022 aged 73 years. A beloved husband, father and brother who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service at All Saints Church, Headington, Oxford, on Monday 14th March 2022 at 12:30pm followed by a private committal at Oxford Crematorium. Family flowers only. Robert ( Reg to his old mates )Smith.
I have only just found out that my old school mate Edward C H Pilling sadly passed away February last year…we sadly lost touch over recent years. We had great times together in the 1960s and 70s.
Eddy was Chief Usher at my wedding in 1968, and we would meet up often in the following years.
I am really sorry not to have met up with Eddy again, he was a good friend, and I send my belated condolences to his family.

I'm also very sorry to hear this, just found out, always used him for legal work, he would always give you the best advice, he said a few times to me 'Christ dont get solicitors involved!'......a hard worker and genuine guy, not many people like that these days ...... he can have a good rest now, rest in peace Mr Pilling.

Very sad news. Ed was the most personable Solicitor I have ever met - he was thoroughly professional, yet still had a wonderful sense of humour.
