He seemed to have a great sense of humour and was quick to put other contributors in their place if they were talking nonsense which is a great mark of any person.
Sadly missed by contributors from across the globe.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
I know all within the iSock community will miss him greatly, and I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to his family.
It is with great sadness that his colleagues on iStockphoto and Getty Images learnt of his untimely passing. He was a great photographer and an active member of the Getty forum where he had many virtual friends and couple, including myself, who he met in person. My abiding memory is of a gentle, disarming man with a dry sense of humour and an astonishing breadth of knowledge. His expertise was used to assist fellow photographers and his passion for wildlife shone in his depictions of Mitcham pond and the astonishing Red deer images he had.
I met Roger only once, at a Christmas drink with another iStock photographer, and we chatted amiably for several hours in December 2019. We had planned to meet again in December 2020 but the lock down intervened and we delayed until later in 2021, unfortunately this will no longer be possible and our lives will be sadder because of it. My best wishes to his family and friends and I hope the thought that he touched many people who he had never met as well as all of those close to him gives some additional comfort. A lovely man, sadly missed.
