COX Winifred (Win) Née Prew Passed away peacefully on Thursday 7th November 2019, aged 91. Beloved wife of the late Norman (Ginger), much loved mum, nan, great nan and great great nan. Funeral service on Friday 6th December, Oxford Crematorium at 2pm. Family flowers only, donations if desired for Helen and Douglas House. All enquiries to The Co-operative Funeralcare, Headington. But her love and all our memories mean that she'll always be near
Family was everything to Nan - she loved us and truly did care,
And no matter what it was, when we needed her she was there
She was always dashing about and busy with jobs she needed to do,
But knew how to have fun and loved a good party with a whiskey or two..
But then time took it's toll and her independence grew wings and took flight,
Our strong willed Nan wouldn't give in and she put up one hell of a fight!
In the end we all gathered by her bedside and held her hand as she faded away,
Our broken hearts knew it was her time - we knew that she could not stay
So smile when you think of Nan and wipe away the tears from your eyes,
Let's celebrate her remarkable long life as we say our final goodbyes
Remember her soul is now free and that she no longer feels any pain,
She's found her way back to dear Grampy and is safe in his arms again.
