SIMPSON Asta Passed away peacefully in Abingdon Community Hospital on 22nd October after a severe stroke, aged 90 years. Beloved friend, aunt and great aunt, Asta touched many lives as a Head of Department at Oxford College FE, and in her later years in her work and worship at The Oxford Oratory Church of St Aloysius Gonzaga. Sadly missed, but now at peace. Funeral to be held at the Oratory on 12 November 11am, followed by committal at the Crematorium. Trust in God.

My dear friend of over 40 years and my Oxford Mum! Asta guided me through a divorce and a couple of deaths within my family. Although on the surface she appeared as a serious and professional lady she had such a lovely cheeky sense of humour. She will be missed by me so much. A good friend that I know is now in the hands of God and I hope he is not too busy because she will be sorting things out up there! Luv ya Asta! The picture was taken at Asta's retirement.
