If you have never been to an SLF gig, I can highly recommend it!
This must have been about the 12th time I have seen the Northern Irish punk band, and I can say they have lost none of their edge.
The crowd's energy was present from minute one to the second encore.
And for a band in their 30th year, their set was exactly waht we wanted to hear - with Suspect Device, Barbed Wire Love, and Nobody's Hero, sitting comfortably alongside newer tracks Guitar and Drum, and Joe-Strummer tribute Strummerville.
The 20-odd songs ended with Jonny Was.
Only Half a Life Away was absent (chuck this in next time Jake).
And, of course, each song has a great story behind it.
If you missed them this year, make sure you catch them next time around. And lookout around St Patrick's Day next year for that much anticipated, and promosed, new album!
