STARS from the worlds of rock, pop, dance and soul have been unveiled this morning for two west Oxfordshire music festivals.
The Big Feastival in Kingham has revealed that singer Jess Glynn, drum & bass act Rudimental and indie-rockers Elbow will be headlining its festival on Blur bassist Alex James’s farm, from August 23-25.
Meanwhile, soul, R&B and gospel star Gladys Knight will perform at Blenheim Palace as part of the stately home’s Nocturne Live festival, on June 20. She will be supported by disco legends Sister Sledge and Gabrielle.
Gladys Knight - who has been dubbed 'The Empress of Soul' - is the final act to be announced for Nocturne Live, which returns to Blenheim from June 20–23. The seven-time Grammy-winning singer, whose spellbinding performance at this month’s Super Bowl was watched by a global audience of over 100 million, will perform hits from across her long career.
The Big Feastival is billed as a celebration of family, food and fun, and also sees sets by chart star Lewis Capaldi, The Zutons, Nina Nesbitt, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Jade Bird, Craig Charles, Barns Courtney, Dj Luck & Mc Neat, The Cuban Brothers, Four of Diamonds and Duke.
Children’s TV favourites Dick and Dom and Justin Fletcher will also be there along with, Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol’s Chase and Marshall.
The Feastival also includes demonstrations by top chefs, with guests including Raymond Blanc, Prue Leith, Gennaro Contaldo, Andi Oliver, James Lowe, Tom Brown, Daniel Clifford and Martin Morales.

Host Alex James, who is also a celebrated cheesemaker, said: “This is our eighth year and our best line up to date. Feastival continues to expand, evolve and get better every summer and we’ve got more new tricks, surprises and festival firsts up our sleeves for this August.
"There really is something for everyone - plenty to keep the entire family smiling. See you on August Bank Holiday weekend."
