For a place that serves up what might be described as fast food, Rumblin Tums is somewhat laid back.

It has Internet terminals and (a few) comfy chairs, but the powerful smell of chips that washes across the eatery and the fact that tea comes in nondescript mugs emphasises that this is far from being a hip, upmarket diner.

There’s plenty to order, from pizzas to Sunday roasts (food is delivered free too), but service can be tediously slow and the nosh isn't great when it arrives.

The ham, egg and chips is OK, the lasagne portion is larger than the average, omelettes are a tad rubbery and the barbecued beef rib with rice and salad consists of as much sauce as beef. Most dishes cost about £5-8.

Travellers hankering after a decent cappuccino won‘t find one here (you'll be given a foamy cup of milk with little taste of coffee in it), but if you fancy picking up a cheap DVD or Christmas cards, you’ll spot them near the till.
