Diddy chairs and the smell of disinfectant — weren't our school days meant to be the best time of our lives?
If you fancy going back to school without the hassle of teachers, homework and bullying, pop along to Wolvercote Primary between 10am and 1pm on Sundays. This place isn't just about food — you can pick up pottery, jewellery and plants too. But the grub is the main draw. Meat lovers should find plenty of interest; this time of year is when venison producers are out in force, so expect to see decent deer meat from Wychwood Forest, as well as organic beef from Duns Tew, pork from The Clays in Warborough and chicken from Willow Brook Farm.
Cheeses, breads and coffee are also worth sampling. If you head for the cafe but don't fancy shelling out £5.50 for a full English, I recommend reviving the spirits with sourdough toast and raspberry jam, plus espresso, for a credit-saving £2.
