This dinky place next to Taylors cycle shop is definitely no-frills but it does the job - and you're sure to be greeted with a smile by owner Kazem Hakimi, who is surely the most cheerful chippy boss in Oxford.
In the shop is a poster proclaiming 'Women love me, fish fear me', which sums up the ethos here.
The 'small' chip portions are likely to be a smidgin on the large side for most folk, and tend to be reliably chunky.
You can get deep-fried Mars Bars here, if that's your thing. But don't expect anything 'exotic' hidden in the 'magic mushrooms' - they're all perfectly legit. The rest of the food range is predictable and quite limited: fish, burgers, sausages, kebabs, with a couple of veggie options.
VERDICT: Cheery, old school and unpretentious
