Where did you go?
I know I have already reviewed Mission Burrito, but this time I went to the King Edward Street branch off the High Street and decided to try something different for a change. I usually have the normal 12in chicken burrito which I love but afterwards I’m so stuffed it’s almost uncomfortable.
What did you have?
Instead I tried the Carnitas – slow cooked pork, seasoned with thyme, bay leaves and orange zest then cooked for hours until it falls apart. It cost £3.95 for the smaller size, including salsa verde and refried beans, although the extra guacamole cost 70p.
What did you think?
The pork was so much better than the chicken. It tastes a lot meatier and it has a lot more flavour. The smaller size was also better because you can move afterwards and don’t feel so bloated. Full but not hungry – the perfect meal.
Marks out of 10?
9.5 because it’s amazing
Would you go back?
As often as possible. It’s a fantastic lunch for under a fiver.
Would you take a date there?
Yes, because it’s fun, but not for a long romantic meal.
