What did you think?
It was a weird location, sort of behind Cleaver on George Street at the back of Jamie’s Italian. And it’s downstairs, a bit like a nightclub, except that when you go down it has stone walls all around. The separate pizza kitchen and oven is open-plan though so you can see what the chefs are doing. And it is set out nicely.
What did you have?
I had an Oxford Hot (£10) which has chilli pepperoni, fennel salami and extra Jimmies sausage which was amazing. It was really light and spongy because they let the pizza dough prove overnight which makes it really light and crispy.
The pizza sauce was nice and thick and the meat was really nice.
Altogether a really great meal.
Would you take you take a girl on a date there?
Yes, because it is amazing new place to go to that’s not too busy and somewhere where you can just chat.
Marks out of ten?
Nine because the food was amazing but it’s a bit claustrophobic in the basement because there are no windows.
Would you go again?
Yes, because the food was amazing which makes you want to go back – soon.
Who did you go with?
I went with my brother and he had the same as me and he loved it.
