WILD Honey, which has shops on Magdalen Road and South Parade, has just won a major award, fending off stiff competition from all over the UK, at the Natural & Organic Food Awards at the Excel in London.
The Cotswolds Distillery’s most recent and successful round of funding raised £1.5m in just one month.
This money will support the expansion of the distillery ahead of the launch of the Cotswolds first ever single malt whisky, a product so popular that the Inaugural Release (limited to 4,000 bottles) has already sold out online.
The physical expansion of the distillery follows the brand’s unprecedented growth since it began production in 2014.
On track to turn over in excess of £2m in 2017, the distillery sells over 100,000 bottles of its Cotswolds Dry Gin in 16 countries worldwide. It has also become a top-rated visitor attraction in its own right, with almost 20,000 visitors a year are welcomed through its doors for daily tours and tastings. This October will see the launch of the distillery’s flagship product, Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky, which has been three years in the making.
Founder and CEO Daniel Szor, said: “We are overjoyed by this great vote of confidence in the company. Premium spirits is an exciting and fast-growing sector, and we believe the opportunities for such a progressive brand, like The Cotswolds Distillery, are limitless.” Go to costwoldsdistillery.com
