Shaun met Danny whilst working at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons. They spent three years together under the tutelage of Raymond Blanc and Shaun is beyond excited to be working alongside Danny again and can’t wait to showcase their skills in what is bound to be a fantastic evening.

The Globe is under new ownership in the previous site occupied by Joe Perks & Co which has its final night on Saturday. The new staff aim to take the venue back to a community pub that will do affordable quality food, real ales, live music, a quiz and various other events.

The opening night for The Globe will be Wednesday April 5 and will be offering 50 per cent off all food for the first week.

Award-winning beers from award-winning breweries across the UK and overseas will be available at three pubs in the area during a 12-day beer festival.

The Four Candles in George Street and The Swan & Castle in Castle Street, as well as The William Morris in Pound Way, Cowley, will each be serving up to 30 beers from Italy, Brazil, Holland and the USA, as well as the UK, during the festival, which runs until Sunday April 2.
