ARTS at Large, which takes professional theatre to rural locations, is back with a new season of drama, comedy, music and dance in venues across north Oxfordshire.
The project, run by Cherwell District Council, will include 42 performances by over 20 companies and performers.
Norman Norman Bolster, the council's executive member for recreation, said: "Bringing professional performances to people living in isolated places makes the arts more accessible and brings communities together."
The shows will include Rhythm Is Our Business at Steeple Aston village hall, with the Dr Teeth Big Band, on Saturday. Their music is influenced by Louis Jordan, Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Tickets: 01869 340512 or 340485.
Hornton Methodist Chapel will host all-female group Waking the Witch who will perform A Woman's Diary on Friday, October 27. The band plays blues, rock, R & B, and folk. Tickets: 01295 670507 or 670664.
On the same evening, Lestyn Edwards will perform his comic bill at Fritwell village hall. He has appeared in front of the Queen and is regularly heard on radio. Tickets: 01869 345977.
