BRACE yourselves for the official start to the weekend.

The queen of UK club culture, Annie Mac, pitches up at Oxford’s O2 Academy tomorrow, for a night of cutting-edge dance music.

Annie MacManus has established herself as one of the most important names on British radio today, with her popular Friday Radio 1 show avidly listened to by more than a million people, and acting as a platform for the best new dance music.

Playing anything from electro and dubstep, to techno and drum and bass, it is difficult to overstate her influence on the scene, with countless acts coming to prominence through her support.

Tomorrow she returns to Cowley Road for a showcase of the freshest talent UK dance talent.

Also taking to the decks are The 2 Bears – aka DJ Raf Rundell and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard (whose massive tune Bear Hug was hailed one of this summer’s dance floor smashes in Ibiza) – and ‘jazz step’ DJ Rax Foxx, another artist championed by Annie.

Completing the line-up in the main room are Simple’s Em Williams & James Weston.

The action takes place across three rooms, with Smash the floor, Graphics, Timmy p, Coloureds, and Lee Mortimer, in the second room, and the third room transformed into the Sccucci Manucci Disco Lounge, with tunes from Picture House, Casino Times, Vorres, and Get Your Geek On.

All you’ve got to do is turn up in your dancing shoes.
