JUMP to it! Oxford’s O2 Academy is going head-to-head with venues nationwide in the race to win a free gig by hit dance act 2manydjs. And you can help swing the result.
The house legends will be laying on a show for dance fans at one of the UK’s 10 O2 Academies – including the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, but which one depends on you...
The Cowley Road club is encouraging dance fans to join the O2 Academy Facebook Fan Page to show their support for their local venue and win the gig.
Fans of the winning venue will also be given the opportunity to pick the support act for the evening from a shortlist of DJs.
All you’ve got to do is show your support – and the venue with the most fans on May 30 will be announced as the winner the next day.
Guests for the winning gig will be selected at random from all the fans listed on the victorious venue’s site.
As a runner-up prize, O2 will also be selecting one fan from each O2 Academy Facebook page to win a trip to London to see 2manydjs perform at Wireless Festival on July 3.
Sally Cowdry, marketing director at O2, called on music-lovers to get behind their local venue. She added: “O2 Academy venues provides a unique music experience and this is a fantastic opportunity to give something back to music fans and celebrate the individuality of their local venue.”
She added: “The O2 Academy Oxford attracts a strong calibre of international artists due to its large capacity. The venue has three spaces for live music and club events with a total building capacity of 1,350. It is one of the busiest Academy venues.”
