That celebration of all things green and fluffy comes round again this coming weekend. Yes, it's Wood.
The mellow little brother of Truck is an intimate and rather lovely affair, and takes place deep within the woods at Braziers Park, near Wallingford.
Acts include The Unthanks (see interview with Rachel on this very website), Fionn Regan, Frank Turner,Martin Simpson, Danny & The Champions of the World, and Tunng.
Proudly claiming to be Britain's Greenest festival. The event runs entirely on renewable energy and aims to highlight green issues and promote an ecologically friendly lifestyle, with composting toilets, showers heated by wood-burning stove and a solar-powered stage.
Buy tickets! To get in, you'll pay £70 if you're an adult; £50 if you're a teen (13-17; and nothing if you're a kid under 12.
If you can only make it for the day, get a day ticket (obviously) for £25 (Friday) or £30 (Saturday or Sunday) go to http://uk.brownpapertickets.com/event/95934 Or WIN! Alternatively, you could WIN a pair of tickets by entering this ridiculously easy, though slightly subjective, question...
What would be your ideal band to headline next year's Wood? And why?
