Crikey!
watch out Oxford... two of Londons most exciting club nights crash land at the Carling Academy Oxford on Friday in a special, one-off, extravaganza: The melancholics of Feeling Gloomy will be biffing the cheese-mongers of Club De Fromage in a fight to the musical death!
Feeling Gloomy was the world's first club devoted to sad music and has been described as Brilliant by the Guardian, with Len and Cliff who host the night awarded the title of, The high priests of sonic misery by The Times.
Now three years old and having celebrated this milestone with a special DJ set from Jarvis Cocker, Feeling Gloomy has appointed Oxford as the next location to spread the Gloom.
If all that sad-core gets too much, top up on cheese, courtesy of Club De Fromage.
Conceived as the worst club in the world, it has grown to be one of London's biggest nights, attracting a cult following.
So what to expect? In Fromage expect full-on Kylie, Wham, Bon Jovi and The Killers and in Gloom The Smiths, Dolly Parton, The Cure and Joy Division.
Whatever your mood, the Oxford Carling Academy is your spot on Friday.
The night runs from 11pm-3am Price: £6/£5 NUS For details go to FeelingGloomy.com or ClubDeFromage.com Alternatively, call 0844 477 2000
