Blues lovers have it very good indeed this week, with a couple of gigs, which prove to be real pair of aces.
Purveyor of fine blues-rock Son of Dave - aka former Crash Test Dummy Benjamin Darvill - plays Autumn's Coo Coo Club at the Jericho Tavern, Walton Street, on Wednesday.
Joining him will be more blues artists Tom Mansi & The Ice Breakers and Liam Ing Reeves, from Mephisto Grande. Tickets are £7 (available in advance for a fiver from www.wegottickets.com).
To get yourself in the mood, be sure to hit the Monday Blues at The Bullingdon, Cowley Road, which hosts Australia's Derrin Nauendorf Band.
Expect rousing, catchy, butt-clenchingly tight, acoustic-led blues with a hint of antipodean sunshine.
