The party continues at the Carling Academy on Thursday, with the long-awaited appearance by those ska rascals Pama International.

Masters of soul-fuelled, dub-induced 21st century roots rock, the collective includes members of The Specials, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Lee Perry band, and Galliano. They've performed alongside some pretty discerning dudes - including Jimmy Cliff, Prince Buster, Lee Perry, The Skatalites, Toots & The Maytals, Mad Professor, Mick Jones, Don Letts, and Madness - creating a huge grassroots following, based on the awesome strength of their live shows.

Freewheeling and fun-loving, Pama are one of those bands that are impossible not to dance to. If you need any further proof of their talent, they last year become the first new band in 30 years to sign to the legendary Trojan Records.

In keeping with their deep-rooted DIY philosophy, Pama have now launched their own Rockers Revolt label, and this week release their new album Pama International - Love Filled Dub Band (produced by John Collins - the man behind The Specials' finest moment, Ghost Town). It also features guest appearances from Rico Rodriguez, The Specials' Sir Horace Panter, and top ten hit-maker Michie One.

Tickets for Thursday's gig are £10 in advance from www.tctmusic.co.uk. Admission includes entry to Skylarkin' Soundsystem with DJ Derek. Doors open at 7pm.
