Oxford is filled with hotels of all sorts of shapes, styles and price points which appeal to tourists far and wide.
Small B&Bs and chain hotels can cost as little as £30 a night while those on the pricer end of the scale can cost guests hundreds or even thousands of pounds to stay in.
On this higher end of the scale sits Oxford city centre's most expensive hotel room, which for a one night stay could set you back an entire month's wage.
The Room With The View, at the five star Old Bank Hotel on High Street, starts at £1,500 for one night.
The high price tag, however, gives you access to a huge list of "luxury" amenities and your very own private terrace to enjoy.
The room is set across 625 square feet and the "incredible" terrace lets you take in unparalleled views of Oxford’s skyline, including the spire of St Mary’s Church, Radcliffe Camera and All Souls College quad.
Through large, wall-length windows guests can look out from their room onto the terrace and across Oxford.
Featuring various plants and foliage, as well as a table and chair set and sun loungers, the terrace is certainly a space to relax on and take in the views.
The hotel room itself has a simplistic yet modern design, with the large windows allowing lots of light in so it is bright and airy.
The hotel describes the room as a "spectacular" and a "luxury".
The Old Bank Hotel adds that you are able to lie in bed, press a button and wake up to "one of the best views in the world".
If you are lucky enough to stay in this room, you get to access a huge list of high-end amenities.
These include:
- Fully air-conditioned
- Underfloor heating
- Generous wardrobes
- Separate storage for luggage
- Handmade Epoc Super King bed
- Wrap around seating to enjoy the view
- Bar/cocktail/coffee making station
- Electric blinds and blackout curtains
- 55” OLED smart TV with SKY
- Integrated music system and radio
- Carrara marble-clad bathroom
- Rainfall shower, large enough for two
- Twin vanity unit
- Garden terrace with dining table
- Sun loungers
The Old Bank Hotel has a history dating back hundreds of years. The site can be traced back to the 13th Century when Osney Abbey owned the properties at 92 to 94 High Street.
The five star hotel has 43 luxury rooms on offer for guests as well as the Quod Restaurant, which serves lunch, dinner and afternoon teas.
