MUSIC stars Soul II Soul, Squeeze, Gabrielle, Happy Mondays and Razorlight are among the names revealed for a festival of motoring to be held in Bicester.
CarFest, a family festival created and hosted by the presenter Chris Evans, has announced its line up for a Covid-compliant event to take place at Bicester Heritage from June 18-20, 2021.
Also on the bill for the new Retro CarFest are Soft Cell singer Marc Almond,the Boom Town Rats, The Lightning Seeds, Brand New Heavies, Scouting for Girls and tribute bands Noasis, Blurd, Dire Straits Experience and Ultimate Elton.
The festival, which takes place on a former Second World War airbase, is billed as a celebration of the 60s, 70s and 80s “with a splash of the 90s”. As well as music, it will feature nostalgic cars, film and TV, gaming, toys, gadgets, fashion, and family fun.

Artists will appear on big screens there will be viewing pods in front of the stages so guests can party in style safely.
Capacities will be reduced, and the amount of space increased to ensure social distancing – and dancing – can still take place while people enjoy the live performances.
CarFest, was created by Mr Evans in 2012 to raise funds for UK Children’s charities and over the past nine years has raised over £16m for BBC Children in Need.
Next year’s events aims to raise a further £2m – also supporting the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.
A spokesman said: “The brand new Covid-compliant event will offer audiences a new and exciting experience allowing guests to reminisce and celebrate all things fashion, music, gaming and more.
A retro motor show will contain an icon gallery housing iconic cars from films, motorsport and popular culture and a motor market with cars on display and sale.
Fashion fans can enjoy displays of outlandish outfits and catwalk shows. Festival visitors will also be judged by ‘fashion scouts’ looking out for the best dressed guests. Film buffs, meanwhile, will be treated to cult movies and television shows, sporting moments and favourite TV adverts from the last four decades.

For gamers, there will be dedicated gaming zones to celebrate home and arcade gaming, with an arcade of retro items and collectables.
Tickets are on sale now from carfest.org, with weekend adult tickets starting at £189.
