Teenage entrepreneur Lewis Bankes-Hughes has designs on a successful future after becoming the youngest ever member of the Federation of Small Businesses.

The 14-year-old from Somerton, north Oxfordshire, created graphic and website design business Fluffy Duster, just 13 months ago and has already worked with more than 20 companies and individuals since then.

His growing portfolio includes brochures for international conferences, banner adverts for UK and foreign websites, website design for individuals and UK-based companies, and posters for local events.

He said: "I've always been interested in design and decided to start my own business to take it to the next level."

Barry Wheatley, chairman of the Oxfordshire Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses, said: "It's great to see entrepreneurship being fostered and blossoming in someone so young - the future of Britain's economy lies in the hands of entrepreneurs like Lewis."

Lewis's FSB membership fee was paid for by the local Business Link, which has helped him set up and run his business.

He won a design and technology scholarship at Bloxham School and also created the school's magazine, Bloxlife.

His ambition is to build up the company before going to university in four years time to study architecture, and ultimately establish his own architectural design firm.
