TROUBLED software company iSoft, which supplies computer systems to the NHS, has sold its financial management solutions business to Capita for £23.2m.
The Australian-owned group, which has its UK headquarters in Banbury, is undergoing a ‘strategic review' to reduce its debts.
Spokesman Brian Hemmings said: “The sale will not have any impact on the Banbury office. The 140 people who work for iSoft Business Solutions are based at offices in Dublin and Letchworth, Herts."
Chief executive Andrea Fiumicelli said: “While iBS is a profitable business, its key products, Oracle’s e-business suite and Integra financial accounting solutions, have little overlap with iSoft's proprietary core patient-focused healthcare IT business.
“Given this, and our strong desire to reduce debt, the divestment was deemed appropriate.”
