House prices in Oxfordshire have risen to their highest level for more than two years.
Latest figures from the Land Registry, the Government’s official measure of property values, show the average price of a property in the county last month was £242,199, a rise of 0.3 per cent on the previous month.
That means prices are now at their highest since August 2008.
The statistics also show values have also been rising consistently month on month since June 2009, although the annual rate of increase slowed in October to 7.9 per cent, compared to 8.8 per cent for September.
